Stahleck Castle (German: Burg Stahleck) is a 12th century castle near Bacharach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It was built on the orders of the Archbishop of Cologne and occupies a commanding view of the Rhine in the Lorelei valley. It was destroyed in the late 17th century, but was rebuilt in the early 20th century and is now a hostel.

The Niederwalddenkmal is a monument which was constructed in order to commemorate the foundation of the German Empire, after the end of Franco-Prussian War.

The central figure is the 10.5 meter tall Germania figure. The left is the war statue and the right is the peace statue.
